Welcome
to the web site of the Yorkshire Squash Rackets
Association!
 Squash
is a game that can be played by people of all ages and is currently one
of the UK’s real sporting success stories. A number of the World's top
men and women come from the United Kingdom, and many of these are either
Yorkshire born or based.
Squash
is a game of action, endeavour and fun currently played by around 2 million
people in the United Kingdom. It should not be viewed as a way of getting
fit but it will certainly help you to keep fit once you reach a certain
level. With the advent of mini
squash, children that are old enough to hold a small racket
are old enough to play squash.
As it is played indoors
it is not hampered by the vagaries of the weather and parents can be assured
that their children are inside and out of harm’s way.
The
sport of Squash provides many benefits for both adults and children, such
as competition, social interaction and enjoyment. It is easy to learn
and relatively cheap to play. So for a game that will bring you hours
of enjoyment, give it a try. There are many clubs listed on this site
that can offer high level coaching and junior involvement.
This
site will hopefully provide the visitor with information about the county,
its teams, its clubs, local authority sites, coaching opportunities, competitions
and in fact anything of interest to the lovers of this great game.
